Materialise Showcasing Mass Personalization Portfolio at AAOS

Materialise is headed to the Windy City next week to showcase its latest innovations in software and 3D printing solutions for the orthopedic industry.
 
The company will be attending the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting (March 22-26) in Chicago and exhibiting the latest developments from its research and engineering medical software MIS (minimally invasive surgery) and shoulder 3D planning for surgeons. Materialise also will offer live demonstrations of its AR viewer, to be launched later this spring.
 
Moreover, as a company in software for 2D and 3D planning solutions, the company is hoping to start a discussion amongst its partners and customers about the future of predictive planning. Discussion points of interest include AI-driven surgical planning and surgeons’ choices.

3D preoperative planning for the glenoid component in RSA by Dr. Jonathan C. Levy, chief of Orthopedics at Holy Cross Medical Group.
In his presentation, Dr. Levy will demonstrate how an AI-driven Materialise planning tool is capable of mimicking planning habits of high-volume surgeons to guide the planning choices of broader range of clinicians.
